Up North Blueberry Farm
We are a two-person family farm, and demand has been especially high. We are working hard to keep up while continuing to provide the fresh, high-quality berries you expect from us. A few important reminders will help everything run more smoothly:
Pre-orders must be placed by 10a on the day before your selected pickup date. Same-day orders will not be accepted or fulfilled.
Here is why: We hire a picking team on specific days and give them a set amount of berries to pick. Once they have completed that amount, they leave until the next scheduled picking day. We do not have a large staff or a supply of extra berries waiting to fill unexpected orders.
Bob and Jodi are also busy picking, packing orders, preparing for markets and caring for the farm. We are not able to monitor new orders, emails, texts and phone messages on demand throughout the day. We need some time—and a little grace—to organize, pick and prepare each order properly.
Please also remember:
-
Our farmers markets are held only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We are not at market on Sunday so please don't choose that option when pre-ordering. We won't be there :)
-
Market orders not collected before closing will be returned to the farm and sold or put in the freezer. If you have a change of plans and need to make a change, please let us know.
-
For a later in the day farm pickup, leave a note in the comment section of your order. We will keep your berries cool and fresh until you arrive.
U-Pick will remain closed for several days to allow more berries to ripen. We will update here if we can open on Thursday
Freshly picked blueberries will be available at our Wednesday farmers markets and self-serve on Wednesday & Thursday at the farm.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and support as we adjust to the high demand. We appreciate your excitement and want every customer to have a happy blueberry experience!

Pre-orders for market days are encouraged. We often sell out during peak season, and reserved orders are picked and packed first.

A Family Farm Rooted in Northern Michigan
Welcome to Up North Blueberry Farm in Gaylord, Michigan. Since 2011, our family has been growing fresh, highbush blueberries and welcoming families, friends, neighbors, and visitors to enjoy a true northern Michigan summer tradition.
We take pride in keeping our fields clean, cared for, and easy to enjoy. Whether you come to pick your own berries, reserve pre-picked blueberries, or visit us at market, our goal is simple: fresh berries, friendly service, and a little bit of summer to take home with you.
Owned and operated by Bob and Jodi Wagner

U-Pick Hours During Season
U-Pick hours depend on weather and berry ripening, but our regular picking schedule during season is:
Tuesday: to be determined
Thursday: to be determined
Saturday: to be determined
Sunday: to be determined
Closed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for picking, ripening, and markets.
Please check for updates before you drive out. We may close due to weather, field conditions, or to allow more berries to ripen.
Fresh Berries, Picked for You
