You Love the Blueberries Faster Than They Can Ripen!

Hello, blueberry friends!
This season has brought an incredible amount of support to our little farm. We are so grateful—but we also want to be honest: demand for our blueberries is currently greater than the supply of ripe berries available.
When a large number of people arrive for U-Pick, the ripe berries can be picked in just a few hours. Once that happens, we have to close and give the remaining berries time to ripen. We know this can be disappointing, especially for those who have driven a long distance to visit us.
Please know that Bob and I are working hard to ensure the picking experience on our small farm remains fun, relaxing, and memorable. We never want it to feel overcrowded, rushed, or frustrating—for our guests or for our team.
We are currently working to develop a plan that better manages the number of visitors, the availability of ripe berries, and the workload involved in keeping everything running. We want to find an approach that works for everyone—our customers, our picking crew, and the two of us included!
In the meantime, we are asking for a little patience and grace.
Before driving to the farm for U-Pick, please check our website, Facebook page, Instagram, or phone message for the most current update. Conditions can change quickly, and we may need to close earlier than scheduled if the ripe berries have been picked.
We will continue offering fresh-picked blueberries through pre-orders, farmers markets, and our self-serve porch whenever supply allows. Pre-ordering is the best way to reserve berries, but please remember that we need advance notice to have your order picked and ready.
We are a small farm doing everything we can to grow, pick, pack, communicate, and serve a much larger number of customers than we ever expected. Your kindness, flexibility, and continued support mean more to us than you know.
Thank you for loving our blueberries and supporting Up North Blueberry Farm!

With gratitude,
Bob & Jodi
